Dan Botterill is a founding Director of Sustainable Resource Solutions and Managing Director of Revise LTD. With more than 10 years experience, Dan has worked with organisations across both the public and private sector, providing clients with wide ranging sustainability advice and guidance. His main areas of specialism include Resource Efficiency, Waste Management and Sustainable Procurement. Dan has worked with Universities, Local and Regional Government, Waste management companies, Utilities companies, the Construction Sector and the Financial Services Sector. Dan has also been involved in several national resource efficiency related initiatives and was responsible for establishing and growing the very successful National Industrial Symbiosis Programme (NISP) in London.
Dan graduated from The University of Nottingham with a Masters in Law and Environmental Science and a Degree in Environmental Technology.

As Director of Revise, Michelle is working with Universities and Colleges across the country to help them improve their sustainability performance. Michelle specialises in Waste Management, Environmental Management Systems (EMS), Environmental Auditing, Sustainable Procurement, Biodiversity Management, and Carbon Management Planning. Michelle also heads up the Revise training programme which has included a national training series for the Environmental Association of Universities and Colleges (EAUC) and events for the Sustainable Procurement Centre of Excellence, the London Universities Environment Group, the Association of Universities Procurement Officers and various regional purchasing consortia. Michelle is also working with partner organisations to develop sustainability software solutions.
Previously managing the Environment Team at the University of Hertfordshire, Michelle led all the major sustainability focused projects that culminated in the University being placed twice within the top five in the Green League of UK Universities. Michelle also managed the production of the EAUC Biodiversity Guide which was recognised as an international flagship project by the UN Convention on Biological Diversity.
Michelle graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with a Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Management for Business and a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Studies.

As a Senior Consultant with Revise, Katherine is working closely with Universities and Colleges to help improve their environmental performance within the areas of waste and resource management, sustainable procurement, biodiversity conservation and carbon management. Katherine has significant experience developing and delivering bespoke reviews, audits and training programmes within these key areas, and has also helped implement environmental and sustainability management policies and strategies to a wide range of organisations.
Katherine also has experience providing consultancy services and guidance to Schools, Universities, Regional Government and companies within the Construction and Retail Sectors, and has assisted with the delivery of environmental performance management reports for several high profile sustainable construction and regeneration projects. Katherine is also working on the development of Revise’s unique sustainability software solutions.
Katherine graduated from the University of Nottingham with a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science.

Alan is the Chief Executive Officer of IP Group plc, a FTSE 500 company that specializes in investing in and building technology businesses based on intellectual property originating from Universities and other research intensive institutions. Previously Alan was the founder and CEO of Techtran Group Limited, a business that was sold to IP Group plc in 2005. From 1995-2000 Alan was a partner in KPMG where he specialised in providing corporate finance to and raising money for fast growing technology businesses.

William is a Chartered Wastes Manager and has worked at a senior level in both the waste industry and as a Regulator for over 15 years. He has previously worked in a development and operational capacity for Waste Recycling Group and Sims Group and spent 6 years in the waste team at the Environment Agency as a senior officer. This integrated expertise enables William to identify commercial opportunities arising from legislative change and to determine the process for delivering sustained benefits. He has also managed a large number of major projects in both the public and private sectors and is particularly skilled at developing solutions which deliver compliance, operational effectiveness and commercial advantage.

Karl is a Chartered Wastes Manager and Chartered Environmentalist with broad experience in the waste and resource management sector. Karl has considerable experience with previous senior management roles in major consultancy companies including WSP Environmental, Viridis and Jacobs. Karl has worked extensively with the public and private sectors in the UK and overseas developing cost effective and sustainable waste management solutions, with particular emphasis upon material recovery, contaminated soils and waste facility development.

Richard has over twelve years experience of resource management gained principally through the assessment and mitigation of environmental liabilities in a wide range of public and private business sectors. He also has significant experience in providing waste management advice and solutions especially in the construction and development sector, adding value and delivering compliance. Richard has previously worked in the academic, contracting and consultancy sectors. Richard has published a number of scientific papers in leading peer reviewed journals.
Mike Hibbert has worked in the waste and recycling sector for over 20 years in a variety of roles, but principally within regulation, compliance assessment, staff development and training.
Initially working for West Yorkshire Waste Management, Mike joined the North East Regional waste team upon creation of the Environment Agency being involved in the development of OPRA for waste and creation of policy and guidance on Hazardous waste and Enforcement.
Following this, Mike spent two years managing and delivering a programme of technical training for the Ministry of Environment and Chief Inspectorate prior to accession of Poland into the EU. After returning to the EA Mike drafted guidance on the classification of contaminated soils as hazardous waste and the IPPC H8 Site Surrender. Mike joined the CIWM as RDO for the North East Centre in 2005 promoting membership and organising a range of seminars, conferences and site visits for members.
Since the start of 2008, Mike has been working on a HEFCE (Higher Education Funding Council for England) project based at the University of Huddersfield working with employers to assess whether the current Higher Education provision is meeting the needs of the Waste and Recycling industries. Recent developments have focussed on creation of a Diploma in Professional Studies in Resource and Waste Management.
